The two maps illustrate the layout of Grange Park in 1920 and how it has changed in the present day. Overall, a noticeable change has been the replacement of the fountain, the stage for musicians, and the pond for water plants with modern facilities.
In 1920, the stage for musicians, which was located in the western part of the park, was converted into an expanded amphitheater for concerts. In the center of the park, where a fountain used to be, a rose garden has been erected, which was previously situated in the northern part of the park. The location of the seats that were built along the edges of the park has now been occupied by the garden.
Another significant alteration is shown in the eastern part of the park. The pond for water plants has been removed to make way for a children’s play area. Moreover, a water feature has been introduced in the south part of the park by knocking down the Glasshouse. Building the underground car park made the park industrialized. The only things that have not altered over the period are the entrances in the northern and southern parts of the park and the location on Eldon Street.
