These two maps of the ground floor of the museum, created in 1990 and 2010, are oriented in the same direction. The older map from 1990 is on the left, while the 2010 map is on the right. The overall layout of the museum has not changed significantly since its opening. The entrance remains in the same central location, but it has been expanded, and many of the rooms continue to serve the same purposes.
One notable change is the gift shop, which has been converted into a café with a larger space and a new door that faces the entrance. Additionally, there is a significant alteration in the upper area of the building, where the new lift space in the 2010 map maximizes the previously unused space from the 1990 map. This update indicates that the museum has incorporated modern technology and features.
The reception area has also moved; it is now located outside the museum’s office room, right next to the entrance. Unlike the 1990 layout, the children’s interactive zone and the poster display area have been merged and transformed into the archaeology room. In 2010, the local history room was connected to the archaeology room and separated from the hall by a wall, similar to the arrangement of the archaeology room.
Furthermore, the statue has been relocated to the center of the building due to the expansion of the café and gift shop. The natural history room and the museum office have remained unchanged since 1990.
