The two maps illustrate the changes and developments of Beechwood Farm from 1950 to the present day.
Looking from an overall perspective, the farm has been modernised to generate more money for the owners by adding new features.
In 1950, northern area of the farm was used for sheep, but today there are camping field, solar panels, and parking area. Additionally, track roads have been changed to modern road.
On the other hand, the southern part of the farm has kept most of its features same, such as fruit trees, soft fruits, vegetables, chickens, and farmhouse. Although the southern part of the farm mostly kept its facilities there are some differences. A farm shop has been built next to the fruit trees, barn got smaller and they changed its place, lastly holiday cottages have been built in the barn’s old location.
