The given pictures illustrate the changes made to the South Wing of the Walton Museum between 2008 and 2012 following a redevelopment project.
Looking at the illustration, it is immediately evident that some old features were still there, whereas others such as shop, reception has all gone. Additionally, over the period four years, had undergone dramatic transformation with several large changes including infrastructure, housing areas and amenities.
In 2008, the South Wing featured six main areas, including a reception area, a shop, a reading room, a cloaks room, and a special exhibition room. The reception and cloaks room were located on the up right side. The shop and the special exhibition room occupied.
By 2012, several major changes had been implement. The reception and cloaks room were into a single space and moved to the previous shop area. A lift replaced the stairs and connected four newly add rooms arrang vertically. Meanwhile, a restaurant and terrace were added above the reception area, and the entrance was transforment into a prop entrance hall. The shop and the special exhibition room remained in their original positions.
