The maps illustrate the design of a coal mine and its developed layout after redevelopment to become attraction.
In general, what stand out is that building has undergone several changes, with many few facilities replace the old structures.
Looking at the layout first map, to the western side of map, there were an office and staff’s changing room, which was close to the massive parking lot. It is noteworthy that there was a medical room in the middle of map and to its bottom, lorry park could be seen. Moving to the eastern side of map, could be seen waste pit 1 and 2. It is common knowledge that to the northern side of map, there was a mine entrance (for workers).
Turning to new building area, it is evident that building underwent major changes, as for office and staff changing room in the map of the western side was modified in term of its shape. It is cleat that moving to the middle area, medical room was replacing by café and lorry park was remove to foot path. When it comes to northern side of the map, waste pit 1 and waste pit 2 were converted into driving truck track and picnic area. Additionally, to the bottom side of map, additionally floor added to the nearby picnic area.
