The given diagram explains how diamonds are manufactured from mining to selling.
To begin with, raw diamonds are mined from special industrial areas. Then, the raw diamonds are sorted by quality level, and the process is continued in two different ways.
High-quality diamonds are sent to the preparation stage for cosmetic purposes. At the same time, lower-grade diamonds are cut and shaped for use in industry. Following this, the diamonds are checked for hardness and priced. Eventually, the low-grade diamonds are sent to resellers.
There are several additional operations that should be done on higher-grade diamonds. Firstly, the diamonds are priced. Before the cutting process begins, the diamonds are analyzed by a computer. The computer prepares a report about the best shape for each diamond. According to the computer analysis, manufacturers choose an optional cutting method, either handwork or cutting by machine. Before and after the diamonds are rated, they are polished.
In the final stage, the finished diamonds are delivered to resellers.
