The bar chart presents information about various reasons that have an impact on work performance according to two age brackets from 18 to 30 and from 45 to 60.
Overall,it is evident that chance for personal development tend to affect mostly on people aged 18 to 30, while most of the middle-aged people are influenced by money.
Firstly,more than a four fifths of young employees put the ‘chance for personal advancement’ as the most important factor for work execution.Relaxed working environment affects more than 80% of the 18-30 age group workers and about only 30% of the 45-60 years workers .The performance of people aged 18 to 30 are affected by money and team spirit,which stood at about 75% and 60% respectively,as opposed to their older counterparts who were also influenced by these factors accounting for approximately 75% and 60% in turn.Work environment had an equal impact on both age brackets at about three tenth.
Focusing on the factor where 45-60 years workers are influenced more than their younger counterparts is ‘respect from colleagues’ which is about 50% for this age group workers in contrast to 40%. For the lower age group job satisfaction and job security affected their job performance about 55% and 40% consecutively compared to 40% and 20% of 45-60 years job holders. The promotional prospect is an important reason that drives younger employees to work much better and this reason affects 80% of younger workers compared to almost 45% of older employees.The people who aged from 45 to 60 were motivated to work by competent boss at about 53% ,as opposed to their counterparts to more than 40%.
