Overall, Australians are the dominant category, distantly followed by British and the “Others”, while the remaining categories accounted for notably smaller proportions. In terms of residential areas, the significant majority of Chinese and New Zealanders live in cities, closely followed by British, Dutch and Australians.
According to the pie chart, 73% of Australia are Australians, making it the most dominant category. The second largest category includes people from other nationalities with 14%. Meanwhile, the number of British people is half that of the other group. New Zealanders, Chinese and Dutch people show the lowest percentages at 3%, 2% and 1% respectively.
From the table it is clear that almost all of the Chinese people in Australia live in the cities with 99%. The proportions of British, New Zealanders, and Dutch living in cities are also high, at 89%, 90%, and 83%, respectively. By contrast, native Australians show a higher tendency to live in rural areas, accounting for 20% of the group.
