Focusing on the increases first, the percentage of individuals recruited in healthcare started at 9.6% in 1989, a figure that then rose slightly to 11.3% in 2009, making it the largest figure of all in the end. Also, there was a slight increase in the figure for employees in construction to 8.3% from 7.6% in the span of 20 years. Meanwhile, in education, the proportion of workforce rose negligibly from 6.8% to 7.5% over a 20-year period. Additionally, a marginal rise was observed in the percentage of people worked in Tourism industry, reaching 7.3% from 5.5% in the span of 20 years.
In contrast, the proportion of employees in manufacturing and retail fields decreased over time, with the former dropping moderately to 9.8% from 15%, making it the largest figure at the start, and the latter declining marginally from 11.8% to 10.1% between 1989 and 2009.
