The table shows information about the number of kiwi exported from New Zealand to five countries, which is Japan, China, Mexico, Russia and Saudi Arabia over three years, from 2010 to 2012. The values are expressed in New Zealand dollars (NZ$).
Overall, it can be seen that while the other four countries showed an upward trend in their kiwi imports, Saudi Arabia experienced a significant decline. Notably, Japan had the highest spending on importing kiwis throughout all three years.
In 2010, Japan and China began buying New Zealand Kiwis, purchasing $271,000,000 and $74,900,000, respectively. In the following two years, Japan’s spending on importing kiwis increased to $323,300,000. In contrast, China’s expenditure rose more gradually, reaching just under 20,000,000 by 2012.
Furthermore, Mexico and Russia witnessed the growth of their kiwi imports, with the former rising from $1,200,000 to $3,000,000 and the latter rising from 968,000 to $2,404,000. Saudi Arabia, however, saw a dramatic decreased. It spent about $29,000,000 in 2010, which dropped sharply to $106,000 in 2011 and further went down to $82,000 by 2012, making it the least among the five countries.
