The table illustrates the data about the expenditure in certain categories done by citizens in five different countries throughout 2002.
Overall, for food and leisure, Turkey spent the highest amount of money, and for clothing, Italy spent the most, whereas Spain spent a balanced amount in every sector.
Ireland and Turkey allocated the most of their money for food in 2002, and the percentages were 28.91% and 32.14%, respectively. Apart from that, the allocation of both countries for clothing was similar, which was approximately 6.5% each. For leisure, Turkey allocated a comparatively high proportion, and that was 4.35%, while Ireland allocated only 2.21%.
Italy, Spain, and Sweden spent 16.36%, 18.80%, and 15.77% of their annual expenditure for food. In addition, the spending of Italy for clothing was 9%, whilst Spain spent 6.51% and Sweden 5.40%. Lastly, for leisure, Italy’s and Sweden’s annual expenditure was around 3.21 each, and Spain’s expense was lowest there, which was just below two percent.
