The table demonstrates the information regarding travellers touring in Vietnam in 2014.
To begin with, the table depicts 3 aspects of tourism in Vietnam: number of tourists from each country, duration of their travels and revenue earned on average. In addition, the countries associated are China, Cambodia, USA, UK, Japan, Korea, Russia and Australia.
Firstly, we can see that China lef with the highest number of tourists at 1453798 while Cambodia was at lowest with only 187986. The rest of the countries contributed from above 200000- under 1 million tourists in 2014. Despite China having the greatest population of travellers, the revenue they generated is not the highest. That position is taken by Australia generating $1893 on average. In contrast, country with the lowest amount of money spent was Cambodia. This shows that there is no clear correlation between number of tourists from a particular country and the amount of money they generated. Moreover, only USA, UK and Australia generated wealth over $1000 on average. Lastly, the duration of stay also showed no distinct correlation as Russians had the greatest average duration of 12.8 measured units whereas Cambodia once again came last with only 3.2 measured units. Furthermore, only USA, UK and Cambodia had duration less than 10.
In conclusion, we can see that only Cambodia among the 8 countries came consistently at lowest whilst other others did not show such consistency. Thus, we can safely say that these factors: number of tourists, duration of stay and money generated are independent of each other.
