The table below gives us information about the way American citizens use internet at their free time.
Overall, this research presents four groups of people: 18-29, 30-49, 50-64, 65+. Also there are some categories how people can spent time using internet, for example play online games or even watch videos online. All results are given in percentages.
The youngest group would rather watch videos online (74%) and listen to music online (73%) than play online video games (52%) or chat with friends (40%). Next one are the people from 30 to 49. They have the same ranking as the young people but different percentages. Watch videos online (58%), listen to music online (52%), play online video games (31%), and chat with friends (21%).
Lets move to the older groups. Only 37% of people (50-64) would choose watch video online, the same indicators are for listening music and playing online games (both 31%) and the lessest popular is chat with friends (11%). The oldest group shows that the people in age 65+ do not really use internet. They may play video games (30%), watch videos online (26%), listen to music online (25%). But what about chat with friends it is only 8%.
