The diagrams above indicate visitor satisfaction before and after the museum’s refurbishment. The number of Memphis museum visitors as well as their level of satisfaction have improved after the refurbishment.
During the year before the refurbishment, there were a total of 68,000 museum visitors, while the total number of visitors during the year after had increased by a quarter. The increase also applied in visitor satisfaction and cut down the number of negative reviews by more than half. The amount of people who filed no response stayed relatively similar, while the number of “very good” responses surged from 13.2% to 30.6%, more than double the initial amount. Not only that, the “bad” reviews had also plummeted from 42.9% to 12.2%.
Overall, the refurbishment brought an improvement to visitor satisfaction, with the total of positive reviews being 76.5%, a little over 3 quarters of the total responses. It had also raised the number of visitors by more than 20,000 people.
