The table illustrates the mean band score for students form German, French, Indonesian and Malay taking the International English Testing System general test in the year 2010. Overall, the German student had a higher band score in the speaking test.
On the average score the German students had the highest band score of 6.7, followed closely by the French students who had 6.5, then Malay and Indonesian who had 6.4 and 6.3 respectively. The German student topped in every test excluding the reading test where they came in second after scoring a 6.3 whereas the Malay students topped in the reading test scoring a 6.4, followed by the German students who had 6.3, then the Indonesian and French students had a tie of 6.1.
On the listening test the German students topped with a 6.8, followed by the French and the Indonesian who had a tied score of 6.3 and lastly came the Malay students with a 6.2.
