In 2009, the mean overall score of Germany students was 6.7, compared to 6.4 for Malaysians. Moreover, the listening and writing band scores in Germany was 0.6 higher than those of Malaysia, standing at 6.8 and 6.6, sequentially. Besides, Germany and Malaysia was the two leading nations in speaking, with 6.9 and 6.8, respectively.
Regarding the remaining countries, French students achieved higher overall band score (6.5) than Vietnamese students (6.3). Futhermore, those figures for writing band score was quite similar, with 6.5 for France and 6.2 for Vietnam. However, there was an equal in listening and reading grades in two places, at 6.3 and 6.1, respectively.
