The table depicts how many tourists traveled to five different attractions in Europe over a period of twenty years commencing from 1981.
Overall, amusement parks were by far the most popular destinations during the entire 20-year period. In contrast, zoos were the least common. Regarding changes in these attractions, there was an upward trend in visiting the British Museum and Rijksmuseum, while the opposite was true for the others except zoos.
In 1981, amusement parks attracted 7.5 million individuals, which outnumbered that of the others. In the decade that followed, there was a moderate decrease to 6.8 million, followed by a slight increase to 7.01 in 2001. Despite this fluctuation, the figure for Amusement parks was still significantly lower than it was in 1981. The second belonged to the National Aquatic Center, which witnessed a slight decline of 0.64 million from the starting point of 3.85 during the same period.
Regarding the British Museum and Rijksmuseum, visitors in these places initiated at almost the same level (2.98 million and 2.44 million respectively). Over the next ten years, the figures steadily went up to attain 3.75 million and 3.5 million and proceeded to increase to 4.3 million and 4.28 million in turn in 2001. Meanwhile, the number of visitors at the zoos leveled off, maintaining 1.01 million over the two decades.
