Overall, it is notable that the figure for the USA was the highest in both total and private spending among five countries, except for public spending which was surpassed by the Germany. In constrast, the others had a tendency to spend more on public healthcare, rather than the private one.
Regarding the USA’s figure, it witnessed the highest proportion in the total speding with 40%, with exactly 4 times higher, compared to the lowest was the Japan at 20%. Furthermore, the figure for the Germany accounted for the second highest with 35%, followed by the France and the Italy with 30% and 25%, respectively.
In terms of the Germany, the public spending was the top among five countries with 18% and 15% for the private one. Moreover, the figure for the France was the third lowest in both public and private cost, with a modest percentage of 15% and 12%. Besides that, the Italy and the Japan occupied for the smallest proportion of both categories, with the same figure for the public spending at 10%, in addition to the private expenditure at 8% and 5%, respectively. By contrast, a notable thing is that the USA had the tendency to spend more on the private healthcare with 20%, rather than the public one with only 17%.
