The table provides information regarding the percentages of women who participated in senior management positions in three distinct companies from 1975 to 2015.
Overall, it is evident that all of the three examined firms underwent an upward trend throughout the period. Noticeably, while the level for Finsbury Ltd showed stronger performance initially, those for remaining categories (Eldan Ltd and Bamforth Ltd) were more likely to surpass its final rate eventually.
In 1975, the proportion of senior women employed to be managers in Finsbury Ltd stood at 16%, followed by that for Bamforth Ltd and Eldan Ltd, reaching 9% and 3%, respectively. Over the next five years, a minimal decrease could be observed in the Finsbury Ltd indicator, falling by 2%, whereas an opposite pattern happened in Bamforth Ltd as its share increased slightly by 2%. In terms of Eldan Ltd, after remaining at same point between 1975 and 1980, its figure climbed significantly to 14%, at a nearly similar point compared to Bamforth Ltd and Finsbury Ltd in 1985.
In the period from 1995 to 2015, the scenario altered when Eldan Ltd became the most prevalent indicator. To be more specific, the percentage of senior female individuals in management positions in this company climbed dramatically, and then finishing at 64% at the end of the surveyed years, contributing to the highest rate. When it comes to Bamforth Ltd, after experiencing a gradual growth by 2% between 1995 to 2000 each period, the year 2015 witnessed a rocket in its figure, climbing from 14% in 2000 to 46% in 2015. Strikingly enough, only did the year 2000 the Finsbury Ltd category see a slight reduce in its share, falling by 2% at that time but quickly recovering and climbing to 26% eventually.
