The table illustrates the different portion of women in labor and management workforce in five countries –Australia, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Japan, and the United States.
Overall, Australia and the United States had the highest proportion of women working in both categories, while Japan led in labor force participation. Sri Lanka recorded the lowest rate of women working in management, and Egypt had the smallest overall contribution.
Australia recorded 42% of women’s role in the labor force, while the United States had 46%, both countries had 43% of women in management. Japanese women led the labor force with 48% in contributions, however only had 17% in management figures.
Sri Lanka had 9% of women in management, just one third of Australia’s and US’s figure. However, the smallest overall contribution was shown by Egypt with a total of 32% (20% in labor force and 12% in management), eventhough the others ranged at 50% to 90%.
