Overall, There are significant increases in tourist arrivals in Turkey, China, and Germany, with the highest growth rates seen in these countries. Meanwhile, France, the United States, Spain, the United Kingdom and Italy either remained the same in numbers or experienced a little growth.
In both 2009 and 2010, France recorded the same count of 76 million tourists. The percentage growth in new arrivals in the United States and Spain was less than 2%, 1.5% and 1.8% respectively. The United Kingdom and Italy saw increase of 1 million tourists, with moderated growth rates of 3.8% and 2.3%.
Turkey and China experienced substantial changes compared to the past year, with growth rates of 33% and 55% respectively. Finally, the largest percentage increase in tourist arrivals was in Germany, which jumped in 109%. In contrast, Hong Kong was the only country, where the number of visitors declined, and fall in 11%.
