The given table illustrates the income of employees from five job sectors, in three different salary levels in 2009.
Overall, the highest earning people worked either in finance or transportation sectors. All of the salary levels in those two jobs were much higher compared to the other spheres of employment. People, who earned the least were working in the sectors of hospitality, as all employees’ earning in each level were significantly lower.
Statistically, employees working in finance earned the highest salary in all levels a maximum of 8,850 pounds, minimum wage of 1,600 pounds and an average salary of 5,225 pounds. In comparison employees in transportation sector earned nearly half the salary of those who were working in finance, a maximum of 4,580 pounds, a minimum of 843 pounds and an average salary being 2,712 pounds.
Even though people working in the construction sector were earning a maximum salary of 3,100 pounds their minimum 790 pounds was substantially less than those who worked in other sectors. They earned an average of 1,945 pound. Manufacturing, on the other hand, was third highest paid fields with the maximum salary of 3,500 pounds and minimal salary stood at 930 pounds, whereas an average salary was equal to 2,215 pounds. Hospitality, in contrast was the least paid sector across the list people’s maximum income was 2,900 pounds although, their minimum was higher than those who worked in the construction, 890 pounds, and finally the average income in this field stood at 1,895 pounds.
