The table provides information about the percentage of female employment positions and changes in 1994 and 2003 in Hollywood.
The percentage of female employees in editor and writer increased the most, for 22.8% and 20% respectively. The percentage of female employees of costume designers also increased, from 74.2% to 76.1%; however, the proportion rose is negligible. Though it was a relatively low level increase compared to the aforementioned jobs, the percentage of directors and producers’ female employees rates decreased significantly. A huge 40 per cent of female workers decreased in directors, from 5% to 3%, followed by a decline of 34 per cent in producers, amounting from 15.6% to 10.3%.
Overall, it can be seen that editors account for the highest percentage of female employees amongst other jobs. On the other hand, directors had the least number of female workers amongst other jobs in Hollywood.
