The table depicts the number of learners studying in sx specific courses in an Australia university in the year of 2009.
Overall, the percentage of female students who participated in english, modern languages and history sections were significantly higher than the others, while the number of students that are not Australians occupied high precentage of pupils.
In English course, female students had the highest proportions, at 67%, the number of students who born outside of Australia occopy the second place, with 27%. Likewise, modern languages and history departments also had high number of female learners, at 63% and 58% respectively. Moreover, the percentage of students who do not have english as their mother tongue had the lowest proportion in all three sections, with 16% for english section, 47% for modern languages and history with 10%.
Conversely, other majors such as physics, chemistry and maths had students who are not Australian as the highest number, at 44%, 47% and 43% respectively. The number female students and learners who are not using english as their first language were equipvalent. They differ by only 1% in Physics course, 3% and 6% in the other two.
