The table compares the amount of money allocated for 3-rd world countries by the USA, countries in EU, and other over a four-year period.
Overall, the total amount of money donated steadily increased each year. The biggest contibutor to the developing countries was the US.
The US aided developing countries with a whopping amount of money each year. Moreover, the amount of money allocated not only was the highest among other countries but also progressively increased each year, except in 2009. To illustrate, in 2006, the US donated 9,8 million dollars. This increasing pattern continued until the year 2009, when the US donated a bit less than in 2008, figures being lower by a mere 300 thousand dollars. However, by 2010, it had allocated a staggering 20,3 million dollars, which made up almost 70% of the total contribution.
Meanwhile, EU and other countries demonstrated less generosity. Their contribution was on average around 3,5 millions each year, which is several times less that that of US. However, the total amount of aided money rose each year to reach a striking 28,1 million dollars , except in 2009 when all countries contributed less than usual.
