The table provides data about how many cell phones in millions did 5 different manufacturers sell from 2006 to 2012. Overall, it were Ericsson and Motorola that followed the similar downward trend, while Samsung and Apple received a significant increase and the Nokia’s figure fluctuanted gently.
In 2006, the number of Ericsson’s mobile phone was 74 millions and climb to a high of 102 millions in 2007. From which point, there was a gradual fall to 42 millions in 2010 and ending at 28 millions in 2012. During the same period, Motorola experienced a dramatical drop from 210 millions devices in 2006 to 28 millions at the end.
Meanwhile, in 2006, the number of mobile phones sold by Samsung was 117 millions. For the rest of the period, Samsung received a progressive growth from 154 millions in 2007 to the high of 396,5 millions at the end. Apple experienced the same pattern as the number of devices sold increased from 2,3 millions in 2007 to a peak of 135,8 millions in 2012.
