Regarding Nokia, in the first three years, it underwent a rapid growth in mobile phones sales from 345 to 475 millions sales in 2008. But then, the sales of Nokia consistently fell down and stopped at 335 millions and lost its first position. Conversely, Samsung witnessed a steady escalation from 117 to 396.5 millions that means it reached the highest of mobile phones sales among five brands at the end of the tracking period.
Similarly, Apple showed an upward trend with the considerable rise of about 134 millions mobile phones sales in the period and peaked at 135.8 millions sales in 2012. In 2006, Motorola mobile phones sales tripled those of Ericsson, but the sales dramatically dropped in following years. Ericsson reached its highest sales in 2007 at 102 millions mobile phones, and in 2012, it substantially decreased to 28 millions mobile phones which was parallel to the sales of Motorola in the same year.
