Overall, all of the nations that had access to the weapons in 1965 increased their possessions of them in 1990 then decreased them in 2005. America and Russia were in the two top rankings, while Germany and Japan had zero in all of the years.
USA had the largest number of nuclear weapons in all the years, starting in 1965 they had 378, then they up-scaled their production to reach 7538 in 1990 only to down-scale it in 2005 to reach 6976 weapons. Although Russia was in second place the number they possessed was significantly lower than that of USA’s, Russia started with 196, then peaked at 4873, and by 2005 they reached 3995 nuclear arms.
On the other hand, the UK and China had 15 and 10i n 1965 and in 2005 had 198 192 respectively. France having by far the least with only 32 weapons by 2005.
