The table compares the number of top 200 universities in the world (2011) for Biology, Medicine, and Psychology in the USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.
It is evident that the highest number of universities was in the USA in each of the three subjects, while New Zealand had the lowest number. However, the United Kingdom struggled to keep up.
Looking at the first subject (Biology), the USA ranked in first position with the highest number of universities, at 69, followed by the UK at 28, whereas Australia and Canada had an equal number at 9, and New Zealand had the lowest at 6.
According to the next subject (Medicine), while the USA showed the largest number at 54, Australia and Canada almost had an equal number at 13. However, the UK was 28higher than New Zealand, at 30 and 2 respectively.
The final subject showed a huge difference, the UK continued to manage the first position with the highest number at 58, while the UK had 19higher than New Zealand, at 29 and 4, accordingly. Australia and Canada had a little difference, at 17 and 14, respectively.
