The table compares the number of 200 top-rated universities around the world in three subjects in five different countries in 2011.
Overall, the USA university took the lead in all three subjects, whereas the figure for New Zealand constituted the lowest numbers. Of particular note is that the United Kingdom ranks first in all categories of subjects, followed by the USA.
Examining the countries that showed a wide range of universities in all three subjects initially, the USA and the UK dominated the categories. The UK comprised 30 top-rated biology universities, followed by the USA, which accounted for 69 universities, respectively. The universities related to medicine also led by the USA, which incorporated 54 universities and was noticeably higher than that of the UK, which constituted 24 medicine universities. There was still a noticeable margin between these figures, with comprising 58 psychology universities in the USA, whereas showing 29 in the United Kingdom.
With regard to the figure for countries that showed lower numbers compared to those two, Australia and Canada were similar, showing almost the same quantities. Top universities for the subject of biology and medicine were incorporated by Australia and Canada at the same amount, at 9 and 13; however, that of psychology was an exception by indicating 17 in the former and 14 in the latter. New Zealand constituted fewer ranked top 200 universities in these subjects in comparison to all four countries.
