The table illustrates the percentage share of the mobile phone market for products all around the world in 2005 and 2006.
It is immediately obvious that, the largest proportion was allocated to Nokia in 2006. In contrast, the lowest percentage of the share market was recorded at BenQ Mobile in 2006.
As can be seen, the Nokia company was involved in the biggest part of the market in both 2005 and 2006, at 32.5% and 35% ,respectively, while the smallest parts were included by the BenQ Mobile company, which was 4.9% in 2005 and 2.4% in 2006. Moreover, the percentage share of the Sony Ericsson factory in 2005 was exactly the same as the figure for L.G factory in 2006 ,at 6.3% of the whole shares.
According to the data, there was a significant difference between the amount of share of Nokia in 2006 and the portion of BenQ Mobile in the same year, by almost 33%. Another interesting point is that, in 2006, Motorola had 21.1% of the total market, which was around twice as much as Samsung had at that time.
