Switzerland dominated the market for fairtrade labelled coffee in year 1999, with the sales of 3 million of euros. However, UK has beaten it and went to 20 million within five years. For the fairtrade labelled bananas, Switzerland wins to keep the market with highest sales of it in both the years.
To start with first diagram, it can be observed that, Switzerland has a best market for the coffee in the year 1999 with the sales of 3 million of euros, and it doubled in the next 5 years. After Switzerland, the demand for the fairtrade products (coffee) were in the Denmark, with the sales of 1.8 million which rose in 2004 only by 0.2 million of euros. Despite a slow start in 1999, the UK experienced a significant increase in coffee sales, reaching 20 million euros by 2004.
The second table illustrates that, the Switzerland has remained constant in the market for the best sell of fairtrade bananas with 15 and 47 million of euros sell in the year 1999 and 2004 respectively. Followed by, Sweden has a sell of fairtrade labelled bananas with 1.8 million of euros in 1999, though it is slip out by 0.8 million of euros within 5 years.
