The tables compare data on sales of fairtrade-labelled tea and pineapples in millions of euros in five European countries between 2010 and 2015
Overall, it is evident that sales of tea experienced growth in all five countries over the period, whereas sales of pineapples showed a mixed trend, increasing in Austria ,France and the Netherlands, but declining in Norway and Germany. Austria consistently recorded the highest figures for both products.
According to the table on tea sales, in 2010 ,the highest amount was recorded in Austria, at 4 million euros, while the lowest figure was seen in Norway, with just 1.8 million euros.France and Germany both had sales of just over 2 million euros .In addition, in France, the amount of tea sold was eight times higher than at the beginning of the period, Similarly, tea revenue in Austria had doubled by 2015. Regarding the other countries, the Netherlands saw a steady increase in tea sales from 2 million euros in 2010 to 2.7 million in 2015.
In terms of pineapple sales, Austria had the highest figures in both years with a significant rise from 16 to 48 million euros.Whereas, France and the Netherlands also saw substantial growth, with sales rising to 6.5 and 5.4 million euros respectively.In contrast, pineapple sales in Norway and Germany declined from around 3 to 2 million euros.
