The tables provide information about the number of hours per day which children watch television in 9 countries and the proportion of people who achieve academic level in these countries.
According to table 1, it can be immediately seen from the data that children in the USA, Canada and the UK spend time on watching TV the most (4 hours/ day) compared to other countries. Italy and China come second showing that their children spend 3 hours per day on television. Additionally, Indian and Brazilian children usually spend only 2 hours per day. For UAE and Malta, their children spend the lowest time on screen.
Looking at table 2, there is a slight difference among the percentage of people who complete school in 9 countries. For people completing high school, there are 60 per cent and 68 per cent of people in India and China, which is the lowest and the second lowest number in the table. Moreover, the percentage of people achieving university in every country is much lower than those who achieving other levels.
From an overall observation, the time that children spend on television is not related to the percentage of people completing the degrees.
