In Canada, the number of students studying internationally recorded the highest in China in years 2002 and 2003, at 5,400 and 7,850, respectively. This led to plus 54% Chinese students studying abroad in Canada. Following by the USA, at 5,000 people in 2002 and then increased to 5,450 people in 2003, which only rose by 9%. Lastly, India showed the lowest foreign students, which was 2,100 people in 2002 and 2,835 in 2003. However, the percentages of Indian learners increased by 35%.
In the United States, the figure for Indian people studying abroad exhibited the highest despite its decrease from 200,000 to 182,000 students in two years, causing -9% in forerign undergraduates.
