The map illustrates a number of changes which took place in a small village in the west of Ireland between 2000 and the present.
As can be seen from the pictures, the village witnessed dramatic changes, the most noticeable of which were the increase of housing and the expansion of roads.
There used to be farmland in the northwest of the map, but it was then removed to make way for the park to cater to recreational demand. A row of houses is constructed on the East, accompanied by a small road. There is also a car park built near the new houses.
In the south of the map, the dock is demolished because of the reduction of the demand for water. The market, which was the top to the dock, is knocked down, replacing a chain of restaurants. In the middle of the map, there are many houses established, whereas the road is extended. Opposite the three-way intersection, The hotel and the shop remained intact until now.
