The maps below compare the current Olympic and Paralympic village to its layout in the year 2000. Numerous significant changes can be observed between the two maps, though the overall size of the village remains roughly the same.
Firstly, the car park at the west end has been expanded to accommodate more vehicles, and a new road has been constructed to connect this car park to the east end. Additionally, the car park previously located in the southeastern area has been relocated to the northeastern side, with a new connecting road built for this car park.
Several new buildings have been introduced, including a multi-faith center, a medical facility, two extra athlete accommodation buildings, a media center, and a village square. The fitness center has also been enlarged to better accommodate athletes.
Overall, it is evident that the number of participants has increased over the years, leading to more additions to the village.
