The maps illustrate the design of Dalton town in 1815 and how it was transformed 200 years later.

Overall, Dalton town underwent a number of significant changes from a deserted town to a developed one with many residential amenities and manufacturing area.

To begin with, the town was separated into two areas by a part of Dal River located in the south running through the north of Dalton. In the west side, a Dalton forest was cleared to make way for an industrial site in the northwest and some house above it. Additionaly, a new road running through the industrial zone and the house area was contructed, which was linked to the old road named Bridleway from the east side by a new brigde. There was a hospital constructing next to the houses.

Inside the erea in the right side of the river, numerous houses was added on the top of the land, which was linked to the main road by a new small path. The hall farm along the bridleway was knocked down to make way for residental facilities such as houses, a hotel and a school. Finally, an airport was erected in the south, which along River Dal.
