The maps depict how the Lakeside changed during the period between 2000 and 2009.
Overall, the Lakeside was significantly transformed since 2000, with several new developments aimed at improving the quality of life of residents. Such as a new commercial facilities, private services and increased capacity for residents.
In 2000, the North side featured a large two residential area with several conveniences. Near to them was built a private arts centre, derelict warehouses, old town and school which adjacent to a lake. On the eastern side, was a woodland with a long lake that led to the south. In addition, on the southern area one industrial complex and residential area were constructed beside woodland.
In 2009, the North side the derelict warehouses and old town were demolished. Instead a car park and offices were added for residents. The arts centre turned into a Multi-screen cinema which provides residents with the opportunity to have fun. Moreover, school remained unchanged, while a new university was built. The woodland area was considerably reduced with the capacity of the lake. The industrial complex in the southern side was expanded 6 times more, demolishing the residential area.
