The maps show the change in the infrastructure of the outskirts of the town of Fosbury.
Overall, the outskirts of Fosbury underwent significant redevelopment between 1980 and 2015. Green recreational areas were largely reduced, while the area became far more urbanised, with new commercial, industrial, and transport facilities introduced. In particular, the south-eastern part experienced the most dramatic transformation, and a newly constructed roundabout emerged as a central feature of the area.
Massive changes are immediately noticeable. Starting in the west, the park was moved to the center into a much smaller zone. Previous spot there park used to be now is taken by sauna complex. Tennis courts in the south were rebuilt into sports centre and parking lot. Great fields in the south-east were used to build whole industrial zone with a lot of warehouses.
The south-east part of the outskirts got transformed fully except the hotel. A car park was added in the far south-east corner and a supermarket right beside it was erected. Lastly, in the centre of the outskirts roundabout was built and it became the heart of the outskirts.
