The two plan illustrate a building called “Tilden Airport” and its surrondings from 1985 to 2015.
Overall, there has been increased a number of building on the map. One of the most noticeable constuctions was jonhson’s farm, it was removed and then converted to three different thing, including runway two, business park and housing estate. Just below these was constructed light rail, and international terminal was expanded in the west.
In terms of tilden airport’s map in 1985, a runway had been lied in the west, and three building named iternational terminal, domestic terminal and car park were positioned one below another in order, respectively. Next to internatonal and domestic terminal had been located johnson’s farm in the right. Meanwhile, next to car park were been airport support services and two factories.
Regarding changes in this airport, runway was recalled to runway one, and then international terminal was expanded, other two constructions stayed the same. In the right side of international terminal, jonhson’s farm was transformed to runwat two, business and housing estate. Additionally, car park’s right side was also demolished and converted to bus and light rail station, airport support services was relocated to first factory, and second factory also transformed to hotel and conference centre. Just above these building, light rail was buit.
