The pictures depict the development of Greyfrair’s school from 1985 to now and show that there have been an expansion of classrooms and introduction of new sport and learning facilities.
In 1985, in the south of the school, there was large playing fields, but now this area has been reduced in size to around one third of its orginal size in order to make way for a new fitness centre, a pool which are located in the south-west of the school. In addition to this change, there was a large library in the west of the school, currently this room has been reduced in size and converted into a new learning centre with a new computer room in the same area.
One further change is that the mini car park that used to be next to the library has been cleared and the classroom next to it has been extended and relocated to the north of the sport facilities. Besides this, there has been an extension of classroom block from 2 storeys to 3 storeys and more classrooms has also built behind the 3-storey classroom block.
The main parking area had been reshaped and the extrance road from playing fields to the Entrance and exit door has been cut off. Currenty the entrance and the exist areas only have been only accessed around the car park. In contrast, the only one feature that remain unchanged is the area for office.
