The graphic illustrates how olive oil is produced
Overall, this process consists of 7 steps, from olive being harvested, followed by a series of processing procedures, to commercial activities.
The process begins when olive is picked by workers from their trees. After being collected, olive is cleaned by cold water and then travels along a conveyor belt to a smashing machine. Following this, olive is separated into two components : olive paste and olive stones. In the subsequent stage, olive paste is packed into a bag with holes before being placed into a pressing machine in order to press the remaining liquids in paste. In the next step, the extracted liquids are separated into two parts : pure oil and water only. Finally, the finished olive oil is distributed to storage and sale, where it is packaged, stored and distributed to convenient stores , supermarkets or customers.
