The maps below depicts the transformation of the library’s ground floor in 8 years.

In overall, most of the library’s book counters and new furniture have been rearranged and installed specifically on the upper and the left side (from the entrance direction). In the center and the right side, plenty of changes have been applied on the furniture.

Walking into the entrance, the librarian’s desk and stairs still remained intact. In the center of the library, the old vertical tables arrangement was set into a new horizontal layout plan. Next, the newspaper and periodicals shelf located on the right, was changed into the films and DVDs area, following by the installation of two new computers underneath it.

Looking at the map at the broader view, the row on the left side used to fill with history’s book shelf on the top and self help’s on the bottom. Then, they were both divided in six independence sections, containing law’s, economic’s, and kitchen’s, in which replacing the history’s one. Although self help’s shelf was divided in third, it still remained at the length size of one third of its original, following by fiction’s and history’s. A thin, long fiction’s book area was then covered the whole front library row in 2001, in 2009, its length was cut a little on the left for the law’s counter, and the extension of its width, led to the transformation into the table and area for children.
