The presented maps illustrate the changes in the library between 2001 and today.
Overall, it is clear from the maps that the library has undergone significant changes, especially with the addition of the children’s area, computers and kitchen, law sections.
According to what is shown, the ground floor in the library in 2001 depicts only two sections in the west which were history and self-help. Additionally, there were several numbers of tables in the central, and displayed newspaper and periodicals beside the tables.
In 2009, there were new sections alongside the history and self-help section such as economics, law and kitchen. Fiction section was reduced and relocated beside other sections.
Furthermore, tables numbers were expanded and new area was introduced which was the children’s area. Ultimately, the librarian’s desk and stairs remained unchanged.
