The two plans show the centre of a city in different times, the first plan was taken in 5he year 1700, while the second one was taken recently.
In 1700 the city centre included three big buildings in the middle, market square location was in the centre and beside it on the right there is church and on the left side there is a hotel. In front of theses three buildings there is high street, and behind it there is shops. Behind the the three big buildings there is wide green area where we can see Good farm. On the east side there is few houses stables. The northwest side of the map there is a river and a brudge. The southwest corner included Steggle farm.
Today we can see many changes that had added to the city centre.
Firstly there are four prancible roads. The wide one built on the west side near the river that called Steggle road. Two roads are coming out from this road, one passing the north side behind the church and one on front of the church, these two roads are crossing another road that built in the east side where we can see a roundabout created there in the high street. After this roundabout we can find t petre’s lane. In the north part side of this second road we can find market St in the northeast area.
They created a public park beside the river, and built many houses along steggle road. Also the add shops beside the previous once. Additionally they built a big supermarket in the southeast corner beside st petre’s lane. On the other side of this road they built. block of flats. Finally they built many hoses on both sides of Market St.
