Dear Sam,

Hope you are doing good. I am writing to express my apologizes for not returning your power tool the next day as promised .

It all happened due to the medical emergency happened to my grandmother as she suddendly got stomach ache on 15 th march 2026 and we had to run to hospital. Then doctors suggested to keep her in observation for a week. Therefore, I didnt get chance to return your tool set on time. I also know you use power tool on daily basis and I can imagine the inconvience caused to you because of me.

I am really grateful to have a neighbour like you and want to thank you for lending your instruments to me.
