Dear Susan,

I hope this letter finds you well.

I am writing regarding our holiday we are supposed to go on summer holidays. Unfortunately due to some circumstances I will not be able to go.

I was eagerly waiting for this holiday for a long time. It has been several month since we meet and I would love to spend time with you again. Additionally, going to Hawaii was my dream for many years. And I was preparing and choosing outfits for our activities.

As you probably alredy know there was a death in our family. My grandmother, who had cancer for last 3 years, died on sunday. During this hard time I would like to spend more time with my family. So I hope you will understand my curcumstance that I can not go on a vacation after 2 weeks.

I am still looking forward to that holiday. So I hope that we can rearrenge our trip to the end of summer. Maybe late August? Would it be suitable for you?
