Dear Mary,
I hope you are doing well. I am delighted to write to you especially in the anticipation of our long awaited holiday.
I am excited about this get-away as I have longed for it so much. I have continuously dreamt of the Burj Khalifa, flower garden and the famous Desert Safari ever since we planned this holiday. All these and many fun awaiting us at the destination daily fills my heart with joy.
However, a recent event came up at the office and I have been scheduled to go on a training course for the next 3 weeks which may put on hold our proposed trip. This training has become extremely important for me to attend as it is tied to my promotion and as you know, I have invested so much in my career to let this opportunity slip through my hands.
Therefore, it has become imperative for me to reschedule our excursion to a more suitable time, preferably mid August when I would be due to request for my annual leave. I understand how sudden and disappointing this new update might be for you and I sincerely apologize. Nonetheless, I am available to go on a weekend outing where we can both sit by the sea side and have some relaxation.
Please let me know if you are okay with the new arrangement. I look forward to seeing you.
Your friend,
Lily
