Band 6+: You live in a room in college which you share with another student. You find it very difficult to work there because he or she always has friends visiting. They have parties in the room and sometimes borrow your things without asking you. Write a letter to the Accommodation Officer at the college and ask for a new room next term. You would prefer a single room. Explain your reasons. You should write at least 150 words. You do NOT need to write your own address. Begin your letter as follows

Dear Sir/Madam

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing these few lines to request for changing room. My name is Emily, a first-year university students, staying at 265 room on the third floor of the dormitory. My current roomate is the major contributior to my desire to leave. She is always inviting her friends come to our place to have many boisterous parties causing me difficulty in studying. Critically, she sometimes takes my belongings without permission. Only when I ask her, will she lend me back.

Because of these inconvenience, I would love a new room, especially a single one as I could not endure sharing space with others. I will definitely pay any extra expenses and write a report to the headmaster, if needed.
